Behind-the-Camera of Photojournalist Nic Coury in Monterey County, California. Osocalis Distillery for Imbibe Magazine. In March, I had another opportunity to shoot for Imbibe Magazine. This time, I got to go up to Osocalis Distillery in Soqual and hang out for an afternoon with Dan Farber who distills brandy. The brandy is really cool stuff. Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Moss in the desert? This area remains, dark, cool and damp enough to maintain a moss garden. Hence, it is called the Mossy Caves. The only waterfall I saw on the entire trip and the ensuing stream.
